Sérgio Ribeiro e Silva

  • Assistant Professor (tenured position) of Hydrodynamics at the Instituto Superior Técnico (University of Lisbon);
  • Large exposure to Industry while serving the Portuguese Navy for 21 years;
  • Teaching and research supervision at Technical University of Lisbon and Newcastle University, including analytical, numerical and experimental applied research of the hydrodynamics of different floating structures;
  • Development of the Wave Energy Converter prototype “UGen”, whose patent registry was accepted in 2010.
